The Tunega, Púčik, and Tesár Foundation

NTPT

The Tunega, Púčik, and Tesár Foundation (NTPT) was established in 1992 to carry the legacy of the young Slovak martyrs and the non-violent anti-communist resistance in their struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy. It continues the heritage of Christian and civic dissent and draws inspiration from the founding fathers of a united Europe—Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer. Its goal is to strengthen the presence and foster the contribution of universal Christian values in Slovakia, within a united Europe. The foundation focuses on preserving the Slovakia’s memory of its struggle for freedom and the dignity of every individual. It strives for the development and reinforcement of democracy in Slovakia and Central Europe. The foundation fulfills its mission through training programs, seminars, conferences, various public events, and the publication of books and academic materials for current and future leaders in political and social life. It collaborates with similarly oriented partners in the Central European region. NTPT is a member of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies in Brussels.
